THIS IS THE MAX- MICROMAX A116 CANVAS HD
If you are dreaming to own an attractive android phone with not so much in your wallet or purse then Micromax A116 Canvas HD will surely make your dreams come true. What’s even better is it has so many tempting and fascinating features and specifications that you wouldn’t mind paying some more to buy this beauty.
Design and Build:
Unlike the previous releases from Micromax, A116 canvas has got a classy design. The front side of the phone is no different from its previous versions but the rear side has a glossy look with some fine sprinkles of pixie dust which gives it a nice shine. The battery cover is easy to remove because it is made of soft plastic. On removing the battery you will find two GSM SIM card slots and a microSD card slot in between. This phone has a HD IPS screen and a quad-core SoC. The phone is so slim that it could easily fit into your pocket even if you are wearing the tightest of your pants. It is very narrow all because of the smaller bezel around the screen and its very light as well at around 157g.
The power and the volume rocker buttons are on either sides of the headset as usual. The headphone jack and the microUSB port are present on top.
Interface:
Micromax has re-introduced the IPS panel in the Canvas116 and it has an impressive HD resolution (1280×720) which gives a clear display of text, sharp images and videos with a decent quality. As far as videos are concerned, the only thing to complain about is the clarity. It is not bad but definitely can be better.
The operating system used is Jelly bean 4.1.2 and it allows you to get notification toggles and has a menu to configure the two SIM cards.
Media:
The jelly bean player takes care of the music playback. The quality of the audio though average, sounds better with some adjustments in the equalizer. The rear speaker so you won’t miss the alerts from your phone even if you are in a noisy place. A lot of improvement has been made in the video playback and it is something really appreciable. This player supports MKV videos and handles 1080p videos smoothly.
Though Micromax Canvas A116 HD does not have much stunning features, it is definitely a major improvement when compared to its predecessors and it can be said that Micromax has made a clear point that they are here to compete.
