2015 is going to be a year where so many huge blockbuster films are released you’ll need a weekly ticket to the cinema to catch them all. Movie fans are going to be treated to some amazing films over the next 9 months as 2015 looks to be one of the most exciting years of the past decade for movie releases, here are my top 5 highly anticipated films.
First up and you couldn’t do a list like this without it is Avengers Age of Ultron, where the Avengers must reassemble to combat the threat of Ultron. The premise of the film is as Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. When the villainous Ultron emerges, it’s up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans which paves the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
One of the most highly anticipated films of the year is unquestionably Furious 7, which is the 7th instalment in the fast and furious franchise and probably final one. The story goes that after Dominic Torretto and his crew took down Owen Shaw, his brother Ian Shaw now wants revenge. Worse still a Somalian terrorist called Jakarde, and a shady government official called Mr Nobody are both competing to steal a computer terrorism program called God’s Eye that can turn any technological device into a weapon. Torretto along with his crew must stop Shaw and retrieve the God’s Eye program while caught in a power struggle between terrorist and the United States government.
One of the biggest films of the year is going to be undoubtedly Jurassic Park which is set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park in 1993. The island of Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park called Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond but is now owned by Patel Corporation. After 10 years of being open to the public visitor rates are declining, and in order to fulfil a corporate mandate a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which obviously backfires.
If you’re going to talk about the top upcoming films then you have to include a Kids/family fantasy film, so I’m going to include Cinderella. The story of Cinderella follows the fortunes of young Ella whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Ella welcomes her new stepmother and her daughters Anastasia and Drisella into the family home, but when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. However Never one to give up hope, Ella’s fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger changing Cinderella’s life forever.
2015 is going to be a mega year for films and one film definitely contributing to that is Star Wars the Force Awakens, which takes place 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The new Star Wars films will feature a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces with Luke, Leia and Han appearing as older characters. Episode VII will revive the Star Wars franchise for a third generation and I think will be hearing a lot about it over the next few years.
But if you don’t enjoy going to the cinema and rather watch films in the comfort of your own home, then you could just wait till they come out on Blu-ray and buy a projector to have your own home cinema set up. If you think that’s a good idea then check out projectorplanet.co.uk they have a wide range of projectors to meet your needs.
